• LOPD to use grant funds to purchase utility vehicle - The Lake Orion Review (lakeorionreview.com) — Lake Orion’s police department has secured a $24,749.99 grant to buy a Can-Am Defender utility vehicle that will improve emergency access in crowded downtown areas, parks, trails, and waterfronts. Approved by the village council on April 13, the vehicle will support police, fire, and EMS with faster responses and onboard medical equipment, including a defibrillator. 
• Lake Orion Village Council adopts watercraft ordinance amendment on April 13 (lakeorionreview.com) — Lake Orion’s Village Council has adopted a new watercraft ordinance that brings local rules in line with Michigan’s Marine Safety Act and boosts enforcement on the lake. Trained code enforcement and reserve officers can now enforce state marine and life jacket regulations as village ordinance, aiming to improve safety and clarity for boaters on Lake Orion.
