• State Trooper, Inspector Danison, retires after 31 years in the Upper Peninsula (keweenawreport.com) — Longtime Michigan State Police inspector Randal Danison, who spent 15 years serving at the L’Anse Post, is retiring after a 31-year career across the Upper Peninsula. His work in L’Anse, Calumet, Wakefield, and Negaunee focused on public safety and eventually led to leadership roles at the District Eight headquarters.

• Ewen-Trout Creek has success debut in D2 at UP track finals (mininggazette.com) — L’Anse sophomore Breyelle Bowers made a strong showing at the U.P. track and field finals, taking second in long jump with a 15-3 leap. She was one of several western U.P. athletes posting personal bests and even setting records during a big day of competition in Kingsford.
