Dart Container to Support Greater Lansing’s Largest One-Day Recycling Event

Lansing, MI - April 20, 2026 - Dart Container, a leading provider of sustainable foodservice packaging solutions, is proud to support Recycle Rama, greater Lansing’s largest one-day recycling event, on Saturday, April 25 at the ​​Ingham County Health Department.

The City of Lansing is hosting this recycling event as a free community service to benefit the Lansing community. The event is brought to you by the City of Lansing, the Lansing Board of Water & Light, Ingham County and many community sponsors. It is part of a series of recycling events across Michigan this spring and summer to provide a convenient way for residents to dispose of electronics, appliances, batteries, medications and more.

What: Free Lansing event where attendees can recycle a wide range of hard-to-recycle items.

Accepted items include:

●Polystyrene (Styrofoam) CFLs, LEDs and fluorescent tubes

●Medications, thermometers, thermostats, hearing aids and eyeglasses

●Electronics Books and bicycles

●Plastic and glass bottles and jars, cardboard and paper

●Batteries, scrap metal and appliances

●Room air conditioners and dehumidifiers (BWL Electric Customers receive a $25 rebate for working units)

●TVs and computer monitors ($20 per item; cash or check payable to Michigan Recycling Coalition)

Items not accepted include:

●Hazardous materials

●Household items Fabrics and yarn

●Refrigerators and freezers

●CDs and DVDs Packing peanuts

●Windows and mirrors

Donations are appreciated but not expected.

When: Saturday, April 25, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: ​​Ingham County Health Department, 5303 S. Cedar Street, Lansing, MI 48911 (enter on Cedar Street heading north). Note: All vehicles must enter the parking lot from Cedar Street heading north and exit onto Jolly Road.
