Lansing project gets $470,000 to convert old industrial site to auto shops (wlns.com) — A long-vacant, PFAS-contaminated industrial site on West Willow Street in west Lansing is getting a $470,000 state brownfield grant to help fund cleanup and redevelopment. The owner plans to turn the building into an auto body shop and used auto parts business, a $2.2 million project expected to create about 30 full-time jobs by early 2027.

U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson bolsters Barrett's campaign in downtown Lansing skyscraper visit (lansingcitypulse.com) — House Speaker Mike Johnson visited downtown Lansing's under-construction Tower on the Grand to boost Rep. Tom Barrett's re-election campaign and praise the New Vision Lansing development. The visit highlighted plans for hundreds of new downtown housing units, support for data centers, and sharp criticism of Barrett's Democratic opponent and national Democrats in a key battleground district.
