ā¢ New apartments, event space are former Lapeer Opera House's next act (mlive.com) ā Downtown Lapeerās long-vacant Opera House is set for a major overhaul, adding new apartments and a commercial event space backed by a $2.2 million state grant. With additional support from the city, DDA, and housing agencies, the project aims to boost foot traffic, preserve local history, and strengthen small businesses right in the heart of Lapeer.
