• 15 officers complete Drug Recognition Expert School (dailypress.net) — Newly certified Drug Recognition Experts now include officers from the Michigan State Police Lapeer Post, strengthening efforts against drug-impaired driving that could affect local roads. Fifteen officers from agencies statewide completed intensive training in Lansing, bringing Michigan’s total DREs to 142 and expanding specialized enforcement resources that can be called into Lapeer when needed.
