Several defendants also received lengthy probation, fines, and concurrent jail terms, underscoring ongoing local enforcement against narcotics possession and violent or exploitative behavior in Mason County.

ITC explains Copperton grid project, seeks local feedback (ourmidland.com) — A major ITC Michigan power line project will eventually connect a new Copperton substation near Coleman to several sites, including a substation in Ludington, to strengthen reliability across the state. Residents along the proposed route are invited to a drop-in listening session to ask questions, learn about construction and vegetation impacts, and share feedback that could influence the final path.
