Coaches and the Macomb Daily highlight dozens of boys from schools across the county expected to contend at league, county, regional, and state meets this fall.
   

• Man dies after being hit by car in New Baltimore (wxyz.com) — A 79-year-old man was struck and killed by a car Sunday morning in New Baltimore, with the Macomb County Sheriff's Office and Medical Examiner assisting local police at the scene. The driver stayed and cooperated, witnesses were interviewed, and the road was closed for several hours while authorities investigated. Police say the investigation into what led to the fatal crash is ongoing.
   

• St. Clair Shores man shot numerous times by person known to him, police say (macombdaily.com) — Macomb County readers should know St. Clair Shores police are investigating a Monday night shooting where a man was seriously wounded on Paloma Street and a known suspect was arrested without incident. The case echoes another step-relative shooting in Shelby Township earlier this year and will be reviewed by the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the St. Clair Shores Police Detective Bureau.
