DiStefano: I will miss my coach and teammates the most from Dakota soccer.
Mueller: I will miss all of our team dinners.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen hoping to make the Dakota varsity team?
DiStefano: The advice I would give to incoming freshmen trying to make the varsity team is to not have your parents email the coach months in advance. Go to tryouts and do your best. Your skills will be recognized, the coach sees all.
Mueller: My advice for the incoming freshmen is to stand out. Do things that other kids will not do. Also, be aggressive. Many of the teams we play on varsity are much more physical than the JV teams. The coach wants to make sure that you can handle the atmosphere of the big "varsity" team; aka being able to control the ball under pressure and being aggressive.
What are your plans after graduation?
DiStefano: After graduation, my plans are to attend Oakland University and study business.
Mueller: My plan for after graduation is to go to Wayne State University and study materials science.
