It's Labor Day weekend, and that means it's time for Arts, Beats & Eats in downtown Royal Oak, with truly something for everyone.
On the Arts side:
The Juried Fine Art show opens daily at 11 a.m. and runs until 9 p.m., except for Monday, when it winds down at 5 p.m. At the art show you'll be able to browse and buy some amazing creations in a broad variety of mediums, including ceramic, drawing, jewelry, fabric, glass, metal, mixed media, painting, sculpture, photography and much more. As for Beats, there's plenty of music to enjoy, with more than 10 stages set up, and dozens of acts performing in a variety of genres, from funk to rock, folk to Beatles tributes, country to jazz, alternative rick to swing, Frank Zappa tributes to rock-a-billy, punk/ska to blues, plus children's shows, too, including puppets, magic, clowning, and a whole lot more. Now for Eats: There's no shortage, with nearly 70 restaurants, caterers, and dining options awaiting your palate, so be sure to arrive hungry and ready to sample all the variety, from barbecue to chocolate to Indian and everything in between. For a list of participating eateries, click here.

In addition, there will be a carnival set up so people can get their fix of bumper cars, ferris wheel rides, the fun house and more.
Festival hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily, except for Monday, when hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Daily admission is $3 per person. Food and beverage tickets are 16 for $10.
