Civil War Skirmish at Wolcott Mill

The grounds of Wolcott Mill Historic Center will come alive with history as it becomes the site of Civil War reenactments this weekend.

Guests will hear blasts of cannonfire, see hundreds of soldiers skirmish and perform drills, sutlers sell their wares, watch crafts being made and chores performed, and much more. Children will learn some hands-on lessons as they join a military drill, make a craft or attend a school lesson, 1860s-style.

A highlight of both days is the reenactment of part of the Battle of Bull Run, held 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
