Discover Maple Sweetness at Wolcott Mill

Wolcott Mill has some real fun on tap with its Maple Sweetness programs.

You'll discover plenty of sweet facts about maple syrup, including that it dates back to the American Indian era and that Michigan is the seventh largest maple syrup producer in the United States.

You'll see how maple syrup is made, and learn how to make your own syrup at home. Plus you'll identify different types of maple trees, learn how to tap a tree, boil sap, view types of equipment used, and make a craft project. 

Maple Sweetness programs will be held 12:30 and 3 p.m. Feb. 25, 26, March 3 and 4. Program costs $5 per adult or $3 per child. Call 800-477-3175 or 586-749-5997 to register.
