At 2 p.m. Oct. 2, kids can get a lesson in what plants need to survive and thrive. Then they'll plant a lima bean seed in a clear cup to take home, nurture and watch it grow. The lesson is part of The Lorenzo Cultural Center's latest exhibit, Michigan’s Harvest: Food, Farming and Community, with special exhibits and lectures on our state's agricultural history.
Admission is free, although pre-registration at 586.445.7348 is required. Visit www.LorenzoCulturalCenter.com to register online and for more information.
