Labor Rights and the HUAC in Detroit

As part of its "The 1950s: Affluence and Anxiety in the Atomic Age," the Lorenzo Cultural Center presents a number of exhibits and lectures, including "The House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in Detroit," where Steve Babson, labor educator and union activist, will discuss the 1952 Detroit hearings where left-wing union members and civil-rights activists were questioned, and vigilante actions resulted in area factories.

The presentation is free, but please call 586-445-7348 to register.
