The Lorenzo Cultural Center's latest exhibit -- The 1950s: Affluence and Anxiety in the Atomic Age -- is ongoing through May 7, and features a number of presentations about hot topics of the time.
Today's topic is "Nuclear Arms Race: A New Destructive Reality." Macomb professor Elliot L. Meyrowitz, Ph.D., discusses the origins and causes of the nuclear arms race as well as strategic U.S. nuclear doctrines adopted at the start of the Cold War.
