Lorenzo Center Presents: 'I've Got a Home in Glory Land: A Lost Tale of the Underground Railway'

The Lorenzo Cultural Center's latest exhibit, Becoming Michigan: From Revolution to Statehood.

Visitors will learn about the state's early history via exhibits, presentations and activities.

On March 14, two programs are planned -- 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. -- for "I've Got a Home in Glory Land: A Lost Tale of the Underground Railway." Karolyn Smardz Frost, a historian and archaeologist, discusses a fugitive slave couple's dramatic escape to Canada via the Underground Railroad.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required.

Exhibits are free and don’t require advance registration to view. The Lorenzo Cultural Center is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
