The Recreation Center is organizing a "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" mother-son event at Comerica Park. Moms and sons will leave the senior center at 11:15 a.m. and head to the game by bus, where they'll see the 1:05 p.m. game where the Tigers play the Oakland Athletics.
Tickets are $17 per person for Macomb Township residents, or $5 more for non-residents, and include game ticket, transportation, snacks for the bus trip, and a commemorative mother-son photo to take home.
It's also Kids Day, and kids ages 14 and younger will be able to enjoy free rides on the Comcast Carousel and Ferris Wheel, along with face painting and clowns. And if weather permits, kids will be able to run the bases after the game.
