The Lorenzo Cultural Center travels back in time with its latest exhibit, "The 1950s: Affluence and Anxiety in the Atomic Age."
The March 18 lecture is on "Building the Mackinac Bridge," where author Mike Fornes discusses the 3-year construction project that officially opened in 1957. He'll discuss the effort to procure funding, the feat of engineering, and other details about the bridge that linked Michigan's peninsulas.
