Lady Crusaders Edge Cougars for District Basketball Title
L'Anse Creuse North defeated Dakota 50-45 Friday for the district championship.
Battling through two overtimes, the varsity girls' basketball team defeated the Cougars 50-45 Friday to become district champions.
With their victory, the Crusaders go on to face 's sister school, , in the regional semifinals Tuesday at Utica Ford.
Dakota, which lost what would have been its fourth consecutive district championship, finishes its season 15-7.
