L’Anse Creuse High School presents “The Canterbury Tales”

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The L’Anse Creuse High School Drama Club presents, “The Canterbury Tales” October 17 and 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center (JAPAC).

The play, written by Lindsay Price, is based off of the Geoffrey Chaucer’s classic about a group of travelers having a story-telling contest while on a journey to Canterbury. Performed in modern English, 15 actors tackle 35 different roles, from hens to ferocious beasts.

“This is a great performance for the students because it stays true to medieval theatre,” said drama coach JM Ethridge.  “The costumes, props, and sets are simple, relying on the actor’s talent to guide the audience through the tale.”

Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the JAPAC box office located at 24600 F.V. Pankow Boulevard or by calling (586)783-6520. For more information, contact JM Ehtridge at ethrijm@lc-ps.org.
