MCD Farmer’s Market opens July 6th!
Farmer’s and local merchants are getting ready to sell their wares at the MCD’s 2nd Annual Farmer’s & Artisan Market, opening Sunday, July 6th. This year there will be a variety of fresh products, crafts, and antiques being sold, many by Romeo residents. Some products that will be available at the market include fresh fruits & vegetables (seasonal), baked goods, naturally grown tea, maple syrup, honey, plants, organic mosquito control & deer deterrent products, art & collectibles, re-purposed furniture, trees & shrubs, and rain chains & rain barrels. Residents can also purchase DNR hunting and fishing licenses at the market. The market will be open the first and third Sunday’s in July, August, and September at 72955 Van Dyke, Bruce Township from 10:00am-3:00pm. If you are interested in setting up a table, contact Dawn or Marissa at 586-752-9580 or macombcd@yahoo.com. Table fees are $5 per day and are considered a tax-deductible donation to the Macomb Conservation District. The Macomb Conservation District is a local unit of state government that offers educational workshops, trees, shrubs, plants and natural resource outreach services throughout Macomb County. The mission of the MCD is to ensure that land, water, forest, wildlife and all natural resources of the county are managed for sustained use for future generations.
