Dr. Darren J. Silvester, DPM, FACFAS, local Pleasanton podiatric surgeon, becomes the first HyProCure® Center of Excellence in Texas

Macomb, MI, January 3, 2014 – Dr. Darren J. Silvester, an accomplished Pleasanton foot surgeon, has been recognized as the first HyProCure® Center of Excellence in Texas. Dr. Silvester is one of less than 20 physicians nationwide to receive the designation from GraMedica, a global orthopedic medical device company headquartered in Macomb, Michigan. The Center of Excellence designation reflects superior quality of care, education and experience as related to the HyProCure® medical procedure. 

HyProCure® is an innovative solution to the devastating effects of partial talotarsal dislocation, a foot imbalance that throws the foot and the entire body out of alignment. The two primary symptoms of this condition are hyperprontation (where the feet roll inwards) and fallen arches. Dr. Silvester has been practicing podiatric medicine for over 25 years, the last 12 years in Pleasanton, Texas. He served as President of the South Dakota Podiatric Medical Association and directed the Diabetic Foot Care Program for the Sisseton Indian Health Service for five years. This involved an aggressive patient education program, regular foot screenings, limb salvage intervention including prophylactic surgery, surgical and medical management of infections and ulcerations, as well as organizing a team of internal medicine and vascular surgery physicians.
