On the Agenda: What Chippewa Valley School Board Will Consider at Tonight's Meeting

The board will be asked to approve a three-year, exclusive districtwide beverage contract with Pepsi.

Contracts are the main items on the Chippewa Valley Schools Board of Education agenda for its 6:30 p.m. Monday meeting. The contracts, for high school and athletic event security and beverage services, will be awarded to Strategic Protection Group and Pepsi Beverages Company, respectively.

The following is a short overview of some of the items on the agenda:

  • Approve bid award for security guard services: A one-year contract, plus four possible one-year renewals, will be awarded to Strategic Protection Group, for security guard services at the high schools and athletic events in the annual amount of $166,739. Strategic Protection Group was the low bidder during the public bidding process RFB 17.1011. This contract results in a 17.9 percent price reduction over the current provider, Advance Security.
  • Approve bid award for beverage contract: Approve a three-year exclusive districtwide beverage contract with Pepsi Beverages Company. Aggressive pricing and sponsorship was obtained through the Oakland/Genesee School Beverage Consortium. This contract is expected to generate approximately $350,000 over three years.
