Partridge Creek Kicks Off Summer Concert Series Over Memorial Day Weekend

The Summer Sounds concert series returns to the Mall at Partridge Creek this year, featuring live music every day from May 26 through Labor Day.

will be alive with the sound of music again this summer, with the return of the Motor City Co-op Credit Union Summer Sounds concert series.

The series kicks off its fifth year Saturday, May 26, with a performance by the Randy Brock Group from 4-8 p.m. in the mall's center court.

The free daily concerts will continue through Labor Day, and feature area bands such as the Sun Messengers, Boogie Dynomite, Parrots of the Caribbean, Square Pegz and Big Will and the 360 Degree Band.

"With the goal of making Partridge Creek a fantastic summer destination for the entire community, we created a diverse lineup of artists in this year's Summer Sounds series," said Seok Chung, marketing and sponsorship director for the mall, in a prepared statement. "People can shop for the latest fashions, enjoy dinner, see a movie, take the dog for a walk and listen to live music every day of the week, all summer long, right here in our backyard."

Partridge Creek patrons can catch the live performances Monday-Friday, 5:30-8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 4-8 p.m.; Sunday, 1-5 p.m.; and holidays, 1-5 p.m. All performances are weather permitting and held in the center court.

"Motor City Co-op Credit Union is delighted to be the sponsor of Summer Sounds," said Gail Hernalsteen, MCCCU vice president of marketing and business development, in a prepared statement. "Partridge Creek is just a great venue for the family to enjoy; and finishing the day listening to a local band, is just an added benefit."

Partridge Creek is open to shoppers Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
