Photos: Installation of New Playscapes, Signs Begins at Chippewa Elementaries
All 12 elementary buildings are slated to get new playground equipment in the next year.
In February, the Chippewa Valley school board approved site improvements for the district's 12 elementary schools totaling $3.9 million.
This cost would cover the installation of new playground equipment, the addition of a 1/8-mile walking track, new signage and landscaping at all 12 elementary buildings as well as site work at .
Some of the work has already begun, although the majority will be done during the 2011-12 school year.

Funding for these improvements came from the district's 2010 Building & Site Funds.
