Take a Virtual Tour Through Chippewa Valley's 21st Century Classrooms

Chippewa Valley Schools has spent several million dollars installing state-of-the-art technology in each of its K-12 classrooms. Patch now takes you on a tour of these 21st century classrooms.

When the fall 2011 semester begins in Chippewa Valley Schools, every K-12 classroom, save some career and technical education classes, will be outfitted for the 21st century.

Featuring SmartBoards, SmartBoard projectors, document cameras, audio systems and Blu-ray DVD players, all 1,100 "21st century classrooms" are the result of an to upgrade the district's classroom technology. 

Chippewa Valley began the installation of this state-of-the-art equipment in November and it is expected to be completed at the start of the 2011-12 school year.

Since the start of the installation, teachers throughout the district have participated in training days to learn the many uses of the new technology.

At the center of the 21st century classroom is the SmartBoard, which the district's technology director Craig McBain said is easy to upgrade and "has something for everybody."
