The two-story building quietly scrubs hydrogen sulfide from sewer gas, extending infrastructure life while letting neighbors enjoy their yards without the constant smell of sewage.

• Dakota wins first golf regional title; Romeo, Eisenhower also qualify (theoaklandpress.com) — Macomb Dakota's girls golf team just captured its first-ever regional title, adding to an undefeated Macomb Area Conference Red season and a Macomb County Tournament crown. Romeo and Utica Eisenhower also punched tickets to the Division 1 state finals, with several local golfers posting standout rounds and building momentum for next week's championship in Battle Creek.
