• Woman accused of leading police chase in stolen U-Haul in Macomb County pleads no contest (clickondetroit.com) — A woman accused of stealing a U-Haul and leading police on a chase that ended in a rollover crash at a Macomb Township intersection has pleaded no contest to three charges. The pursuit began after a camera flagged the van in Clinton Township and continued into Mount Clemens before the crash, and she's now scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 27.
   

• UCS honored for supporting deployed Air National Guard teacher (candgnews.com) — Utica Community Schools staff were honored for supporting an Ebeling Elementary teacher from Macomb Township who served with the Michigan Air National Guard during a yearlong deployment. Administrators kept his job secure, maintained school traditions like field day, and helped students stay connected, earning them the Patriot Award for easing his transition back into the classroom.
   

• Week ending Sept. 5: Lowest E15 gas in Macomb County reaches $3.31 (warrensun.com) — Drivers in Macomb County, including those in Macomb Township, saw the lowest reported E15 gas price hit $3.31 per gallon for the week ending Sept. 5, with a countywide average of $3.62. Only six of 354 reported stations offered E15, and prices here remained below the statewide average, which could help you decide where and when to fill up.
