The blotter details where arrests occurred across townships and notes one recovered stolen trailer tied back to Mecosta County.
   

• Local election roundup shows unofficial results for four counties (bigrapidsnews.com) — Mecosta County voters have unofficially backed several key millage renewals and selected Wendy Nystrom over Allitta Hren for the 6th District commissioner seat in the Aug. 4 primary. The roundup also shows how neighboring counties voted on school, road, public safety, and library proposals that can affect shared services and regional funding.
   

• Michigan awards livestock scholarships to 41 students (bigrapidsnews.com) — A Mecosta County student, Jadyn Herzog, is among 41 Michigan youth receiving scholarships from the Michigan Youth Livestock Scholarship Fund, which awarded more than $60,000 statewide this year. The fund, backed by the Michigan Livestock Expo Sale-a-bration, supports students pursuing agriculture-related careers and has nearly reached $1 million in total awards since 2000.
