• Retiree, 83, on mission to keep Oakland County road tidy (hometownlife.com) — An 83-year-old Lyon Township retiree is quietly keeping 11 Mile Road between Milford and Martindale far cleaner by walking it regularly with trash bags and a grabber tool. His solo effort near Pearson Elementary has noticeably reduced litter and inspired appreciative honks, thank-yous, and maybe a few neighbors to consider pitching in themselves.
