• Mount Clemens OK's parking lot increases — and a few decreases, too (macombdaily.com) — Parking in downtown Mount Clemens is getting pricier starting July 1, with most lot and meter rates increasing and some citation fines jumping to $50 for serious violations. City officials say the changes are needed to make the parking system self-sustaining and fund long-delayed lot improvements, while still keeping rates relatively low compared with nearby cities and larger Midwest metros. 
• New Michigan road funding coming but not until late this year (macombdaily.com) — Macomb County is set to receive a major boost in state road funding later this year, but most visible work won’t start until 2027. Mount Clemens is slated to get about $2.57 million in combined traditional and new Neighborhood Roads Fund dollars, while county leaders emphasize preventive maintenance projects and urge drivers to slow down and stay alert in work zones.
