• New director named for Macomb County juvenile detention facility (macombdaily.com) — A key youth justice facility based in Mount Clemens has a new leader, as longtime staffer Sarah Gillies is promoted to director of the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center. Her appointment continues the center’s shift toward trauma-informed, rehabilitation-focused care and reduced detention, while extra space in the Mount Clemens building is now partly leased for a separate state-run youth treatment center.
