• Macomb County woman charged in stolen U-Haul chase (macombdaily.com) — A police pursuit involving a stolen U-Haul van passed from Clinton Township into neighboring Mount Clemens before deputies ultimately stopped it on Hall Road, where it later crashed in Macomb Township. A 47-year-old Clinton Township woman now faces felony fleeing and stolen property charges and remains in the Macomb County Jail on high cash bond. If released, she must wear a GPS tether. 
• Manslaughter trial begins for Warren officer who killed 2 people in 2024 crash (wxyz.com) — Jury selection is underway in Mount Clemens for the manslaughter trial of a former Warren police officer charged in a 2024 crash that killed two men. Prosecutors say he drove over 115 mph without lights or sirens, while the defense argues the victims turned improperly and were impaired. Families of the victims are closely watching the Macomb County Circuit Court proceedings.
