Get to Tasting at St. John's Chili Cook-off

St. John Lutheran Church is holding its second chili cook-off and it's seeking some willing samplers.

The contest will be held Sunday, Nov. 6, from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the church. The winner will take his or her recipe to represent St. John's at the upcoming Winter Fest celebration.

Guests are welcome to drop in and taste the goods and help judge who has the best chili out of the eight to 10 competing. Each pot will be numbered so voters can write their favorite on a slip of paper and enter their vote that way. Besides chili, the menu will include bread, crackers, dessert, coffee and other beverages. A 50/50 raffle is also planned.
