PRISM Plastics Raises More Than $30,000 For St. John Providence Hospital
"Jerry Williams Shootout for the Cure" golf outing proceeds donated to support gastric cancer treatment

PRISM Plastics, a leading high-precision plastic product company, has raised more than $30,000 for St. John Providence Hospital through the βJerry Williams Shootout for the Cureβ golf outing, which was established in memory of PRISM Plastics co-founder Jerry Williams who died from gastric cancer in 2014. PRISM Plastics vice president of operations Rod Bricker made the announcement.
The event was held on Aug. 28, 2015 at St. Clair Golf Club, Jerryβs home course, in honor of his love for golf. Around 200 people were in attendance for the event to support Jerry and help raise money for the Jerome F. Williams Gastric Cancer Program through the Van Elslander Cancer Center at St. John Providence Hospital, which was established by Jerryβs family to support improved treatment for gastric cancer. The event received enormous support from vendors and individual sponsors, which allowed PRISM Plastics to donate all proceeds from the event directly to charity.
βJerry was loved by many and had a supportive group come out to play his favorite sport and help raise more than $30,000 in his honor,β said Bricker. βThe golf event was a perfect way to remember someone who not only brought so much dedication to PRISM Plastics, but was also a loving father, husband and friend.β
The outing was scramble-format, with multiple other contests held throughout the day. Key prizes included a flat-screen TV, GoPro, golf clubs, Detroit sports tickets and a Bose wireless sound system.
