Thanksgiving Day TV Schedule: How to Plan Thru Parade, Lions, Cowboys

Here's the 411 - a brief Thanksgiving Day television schedule that may help you plan your Thanksgiving Day.

Please note this list is far from complete and here is such a thing as too much television!

Turkey Day TV

9 a.m. America's Thanksgiving Parade on WDIV Local 4: A Thanksgiving Day parade has been a  Detroit tradition since 1924. America's Thanksgiving Parade will be broadcast live on WDIV Local 4 with hosts Carmen Harlan and Devin Scillian. 

12:30 p.m. Green Bay Packers v. Detroit Lions on FOX - The first of three NFL games this Thanksgiving Day. The Green Bay Packers are  5-5-1 and the Lions are 6-5 so far in 2013. Detroit started hosting games on Thanksgiving in 1934 and the Lions have a Turkey Day record of 33-37-2, according to www.detroitlions.com.

4:30 p.m. Oakland Raiders v. Dallas Cowboys on CBS - The Raiders are 4-7 and the Cowboys are 6-5. Dallas started hosting Thanksgiving Day games in 1966.

2 p.m. A Family Thanksgiving on Hallmark - This movie features an attorney striving to become partner at her New York law firm, according to Hallmark. She bumps her head and wakes up as a wife and mother of two. With Daphne Zuniga and Faye Dunaway.

8 p.m. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on ABC - This marks the 40th anniversary of the holiday classic

8:30 p.m. Pittsburgh Steelers v. Baltimore Ravens on NBC - The Steelers are 5-6 and the Ravens are 5-6.
