Two Chesterfield Township Crashes Leave Multiple Hurt: Police

Police were still investigating the crashes.

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — Multiple people were injured in two separate crashes this week in Chesterfield Township, according to police.

The first crash happened Wednesday night on 26 Mile Road near Interstate 94 where two vehicles collided head-on, according to police.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 59-year-old woman, and her passenger, were taken to the hospital for injuries, according to police.

In the other vehicle, the 25-year-old driver and two children were taken to a nearby hospital, according to police.

The severity of the injuries were immediately unclear. Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the crash.

The second crash happened Thursday afternoon on William P Rosso Highway and Marketplace Boulevard, where they found two vehicles collided in a T-bone collision, according to police.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 54-year-old man, was checked at the scene for injuries and released, according to police.

The second driver, a 23-year-old woman, along with her passenger, a 22-year-old woman, were trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated, according to police.

They were both taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police.

Police were still investigating the crash. They asked anyone with information about either crash to Detective Bonk at 586-949-3460.
