U.S. Rep Levin: Tying Debt Ceiling Increase to Obamacare Delay is 'Height of Irresponsibility'
Sander Levin, a Michigan Democrat, responded this week to a reported GOP plan regarding Obamacare.

Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Sander Levin, a Michigan Democrat,Β released the following statement Tuesday. Levin's office citedΒ Majority Leader EricΒ Cantor's reported comments toΒ House Republicans that GOP leaders will demand the delay ofΒ Affordable Care Actβs implementation in exchange for agreeing to raise the debt ceiling as reason for the Congressman's response.Β
βThreatening to default and send our economy into a tailspin is irresponsible enough as it is. Threatening to default in order to put big health insurance companies back in charge of Americansβ health care and prevent people from getting affordable health coverage is the height of irresponsibility," Levin stated.
