Back when the show first began, there were not as many outlets for artists to display their work, he said. So members of the church began promoting the show all over Southeast Michigan to attract artists. Its a mission important to Somershoe.

"I have done artwork," he said. "I know that having a way to display work for the general public is not an easy thing to do."

Some of the works are displayed with dollar amounts for sale while others are just on loan for display, which is denoted by "NFS" or Not For Sale. Getting artists paid for their work is also an important part of the show, Somershoe said.
