Since then, the original pie shop has branched out and now has numerous locations and an expanded menu that includes everything from soups and sandwiches to quiches, cookies, breakfast and, of course, pie.

For many people life is about “moments,” and at the Grand Traverse Pie Company it's about “pie moments from long ago.” Their pies are made from the abundant fruits of Northern Michigan like cherries, apples and blueberries. 

The atmosphere at the Grand Traverse Pie Company is warm and cozy and casual. Prices range from $3 for a cup of soup to $6.99 for a chicken pot pie. In February, the shop is featuring a cherry ganache pie which has a chocolate topping and those good-for-you cherries that Northern Michigan is known for.
