Author Hal Malchow teamed up with his son, Alex, to write The Sword of Darrow, a fantasy novel for tweens and teens. They started the book when Alex was eight years old. Hal will be at the bookstore to answer questions and sign copies of the new book. The authors and publisher will also donate a percentage of the royalties from the sale of the book to non-profit organizations focused on helping children with learning disabilities. To encourage other families to write together, the Malchows have also started a writing scholarship contest.
