Dave Davis was born on October 9th 1942 in Detroit Michigan. Being the only boy out of five sisters, he was quite active in sporrts, and he earned his varsity letter in Cross country, Baaeball, Basketball, and track and Field. As a teenager, Dave enjoyed goiong to the drive in movies, and playing sports. While growing up his idols were Willy Mays and his father. He graduated from Northern High in 1960. After that he went to the University of Detroit for one year in law enforcement. After that, he worked at Phillip’s Shoe Store for 8 years. Then he worked at Crisler Dodge for 2 years. His last work field in 1968, he started working at the Detroit Police Department for 30 years. Later in life he drove the Northville Public School’s buses as a side job after retirement. Dave’s advice to the young people is to stay away from drugs, obey your parents, and stay in school. In the end, I’m glad I the chance to meet such an inspiring person and I hope to see him soon.
