Streetscape to be cleared from Main Street soon
Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Lori Ward told the DDA board that streetscape improvements on Main Street will soon be completed.
Construction will be finished by the end of the week, in time for the Solstice Run.
"It's really hard to build a streetscape with the event schedule we have," she said. The Arts & Acts event, First Friday Experience, Shawn Riley Band concert and Fourth of July parade are all scheduled for the next couple of weeks.

Walkway update
The walkway project—which will create a city-maintained cut-through from the parking lot behind the buildings on the north side of Main Street—is set to begin in September, Ward said. The walkway will provide pedestrian access to parking without having to go all the way around either end of Main Street between Hutton and Center streets.
The construction is planned to begin after the Victorian Festival.

Shawn Riley Band to perform July 1
In conjunction with the , an art walk-style event, the Shawn Riley Band will perform on the patio of Brick's, at 133 W. Main St., according to the band's MySpace page.
The band's to Kellogg Park in Plymouth last weekend.
Riley, a Northville resident, also serves on the DDA board.
Season two of Cash & Cari to begin soon
DDA board member Margene Buckhave, owner of Northville Square, told the board that the second season of the popular HGTV show will begin in the second week of July.
The show follows the owner of the downtown Northville store, .
The Cash & Cari Twitter account tweeted earlier today that the "New season of Cash and Cari airs on HGTV Sunday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m." That is a different time slot than its previous season.
