Molly DeDona, a freshman at Northville High, had two drawings on display at .

“I have two drawings. I did them over spring break. I did them in ink. I really like Manga and Anime, so I do get some inspiration from that and then I like to put my own twist in it. I try to make it more realistic, but I like to make up a lot of stuff too," she said.

For some students, this was the first time their work was displayed in a public exhibit, Oosten included. She’s proud of her work and draws inspiration from her grandmother.

“I’ve been painting as long as I can remember” Oosten said. “My grandma has a studio in Wisconsin and for the summers, I’ll go spend a few weeks and we’ll paint things up there. I enjoy painting; I enjoy working with the different mediums; the oils and then the water color and the contrast between the two are interesting to me and the techniques.”
