VIDEO: Northville's Buy Michigan Now Festival Promotes Revitalizing State Economy
The event's founder said small businesses, such as the ones at the festival, are key to jump-starting the state's economic recovery.
The festival is going on today through Sunday in downtown Northville, on Main and Center streets.
Some highlights of the free festival include dozens of vendors from throughout the Mitten State, live music and a kids' corner.
Founder Lisa Diggs told Northville Patch that small local businesses, such as the ones participating in the festival, are key to revitalizing the state's economy.

She added that visitors are urged to view and sign the Buy Michigan Now pledge on the group's website, promising to purchase Michigan-made products when possible. Michigan businesses can also add their names to the list of local vendors on the website.
