Northville's TSC Michigan Incorporated Earns Energy Award

The Northville company reduces the amount of energy used by using florescent technology.

Northville’s Michigan Incorporated has received the Environmental Stewardship Award by Orion Energy Systems, an honor in recognition of “utilizing new technology that reduces light related energy consumption by 61 percent,” according to a press release.

“Our parent company, Techno SemiChem in Korea has been recognized as a leader in implementing sustainable practices and we are just as committed to promoting sustainable energy practices,” said TSC Michigan CEO Allen Ibara in the press release.

The Northville-based company, which is the head of research and development for the science and technology behind lithium ion batteries, made use of Orion’s Compact Modular fluorescent lighting to decrease the kilowatt hours of lighting it uses annually, which garnered the attention of Orion Energy Systems.
