Scream 4 Now In Theaters
Northville residents give movie two knives up for familiar scenery.

Northville, Plymouth, and surrounding area residents attended a midnight showing of Scream 4, hosted by The Next Chapter Bookstore & Bistro which is featured in the movie and drew a very intimate crowd of around 100 people - mostly high school students.
There also were some eager adult residents in attendance.
Mike Mnich, 26, of Northville said, “It was exciting to watch the production done last summer all around downtown Northville and Plymouth and now see what the final product looks like.”

Several Northville viewers said that they watched the production go on right in their backyards.
Bobby Mazur, a junior at Northville High School, who attended the midnight showing along with several of his friends said, “It is sick that a movie was filmed in Northville. Nothing ever happens here.”

Scream 4 is a movie like the entire Scream franchise. It will make you jump and some will want to cover their eyes, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t entertaining. The crowd was a major contributor to the atmosphere, making the movie a better experience than the film deserved. Of course, my crowd consisted of several Northville residents who rooted and cheered when sighting familiar scenery, so take it with a grain of salt – a bloody grain, perhaps.
Northville residents appreciated seeing a Hollywood film on the big screen and gave two knives up for the familiar scenery, unfortunately the same can not be said for the movie itself.
