Stallions Flag Football Bravely Defeated by The Walled Lake Braves 31-51
Stallion Tyler Shelide (24) carries the ball.

Stallions Flag Football began August 23 against the Walled Lake Braves. Excitement and anticipation filled the air at the Walled Lake Western football stadium as the Stallions warmed up before the 9 am kick off. It was a sunny and warm morning that would reach almost 80 degrees before the game was over. Shortly after the game began, it was clear that the Braves were a bigger and more experienced team. The Stallions only have a few returning players from last season, however that never phased them as they continued to execute what they have learned the previous few weeks in practice.
While the score didn’t favor the Stallions, there were many accomplishments and bright spots to build upon for the next game. Tyler Shelide scored three touchdowns, Jaden Pydyn scored one touchdown and one extra point, Patrick Thomas scored the other touchdown. Kickoffs were well executed and several excellent defensive plays were made by many different Stallions through even the last offensive series by the Braves.
The Stallions never quit. In fact, as the final whistle blew there were only smiles and excitement on all the Stallions faces as they definitely had fun and wanted to keep playing. It should certainly be exciting to see the Stallions Flag team build upon what they learned from this first game as they take on the Novi Bobcats at 9 am, September 7 at Northville‘s Tom Holzer Ford Field.
