Stallions Flag team Shows Determination Against the Bobcats

Jaden Pydyn (#21) runs the ball for the Stallions

On September 7, 2014, the Northville Stallions Flag Football team opened their home schedule against the Novi Bobcats at Tom Holzer Field. A beautiful sunlit autumn morning greeted the eager Stallions, who charged onto the field to a warm ovation of early-rising supporters. Despite the Stallions’ best efforts, however, the Bobcats were simply too much, prevailing 32-0. The uneven score does not tell the whole story, as even in defeat, these Stallions showed their mettle. Faced with the bigger, veteran Bobcat players, the Stallions fought tooth and nail to the bitter end. The future is indeed bright for these Stallions, as most players are new to the squad and just beginning to find their football rhythm. Kickoffs were well executed and several excellent defensive plays were made by many different Stallions. As the clock wound down, parents and the upper-level Stallion teams cheered, proud of their Flag Stallions who exited the field with all smiles. If this game was any indication, the Stallions are in for a more successful remainder of the season, as they continue to refine the playbook and grow into their roles. Next up for the Stallions is a road game against the Livonia Orioles at 9:00 a.m., September 13, 2014 at Bentley Field.
