Janice Williams, from Detroit, Michigan, was born on the Fourth of July in 1949. One of eight children, she went on after High School to work at a retail shop similar to K-mart. Soon enough, she found she was really good at finding shoplifters, and started working as a ‘store detective’ for the next twenty years. Until she retired on December 6th, 2013, she worked as a customer service coordinator at an apartment complex.
Several of her family members were in the army. As a teenager, for fun she listened to music, attended school dances with her friends, played volleyball and shopped. In addition, she watched the other school sports, such as football. Since she was a teenager, the biggest differences between then and now are education, TV and movies, politics, and technology. The technology that has had the biggest impact on her life is the computer, with email, researching and Facebook. She’s also played Sega games- she bought them for her son, but she played them.
If she could change one thing about her life, she would change the time she found god- she wishes she found him earlier in her life. Her advice for the youth of today is to a get a good education by finishing High School and going to college. She also said to grab as much knowledge as you can while you’re young.
