Barron’s Recognizes Two Plante Moran Financial Advisors as 2013 Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors

Southfield, Mich. – September 18, 2013 – Plante Moran Financial Advisors (PMFA), the registered investment advisor affiliate of public accounting and advisory firm Plante Moran, today announced two of its wealth managers, John Lesser of Shelby Township and Mark Dixon of Novi, were ranked among Barron's 2013 Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors. Both achieved higher rankings from the previous year.
Lesser, partner and president of PMFA, appeared on the list for the seventh year in a row, and rose to No. 18, up from No. 37 last year. Dixon, a partner with PMFA, appeared for the third year in a row and rose to No. 36, up from No. 51 last year.

The Barron's Top 100 are ranked according to several criteria, including assets under management by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for the firms, as well as the quality of the advisors' practices. The Barron's scoring system assigns a top score of 100 and rates the remaining advisors by comparing them with the winner. The advisors included in this year's list increased their assets under management by 16 percent as a group over the past 12 months as a result of solid investment returns and new business.
