Chiropractic Is MORE Than What Some Are Asking For

“I came here for back pain relief, but you’re telling me chiropractic is for so much more?”

We hear this statement or similar ones from our new patients when they have not heard the whole story about chiropractic before.

The patients ask this question with one of three feelings:

1. Skepticism —Normally because the idea of the body being self-healing and self-regulating, when there is no interference in the communication between the brain and body, is the opposite of what we have heard for years from the medical world and media — that a pill, potion or lotion is required in order to be healthy.

***Skeptics actually become our best patients, referring the most patients to our office once they thoroughly understand that chiropractic does not treat conditions, but it allows the body to function optimally.

2. Anger — from not hearing that chiropractic can help people suffering from chronic or acute illnesses experiencing diminished quality of life.  

3. Excitement — from finally finding the cause and solution of most, if not all of their health problems.  Many have spent a great deal of time and money following medical recommendations, but have been left with no hope of healing. The message of chiropractic is that the body is amazing in its healing abilities and adaptations when the bones of the spine are moved off the nerves, and the power that made the body can heal the body.

So, many people come in asking for pain relief, and get it, but also get so much more after they learn that the reason they get relief is because their entire body is finally healing and growing stronger to prevent future ailments.
