Eat Ice Cream for a Great Cause!

Did you know that Rotary also has a service club for young adults called "Interact"? Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 12 to 18 years old. There are more than 10,700 Interact clubs in 109 countries and geographical areas. Almost 200,000 young people worldwide are involved in Interact.

The Novi Rotary club supplies support and guidance to Interact, but a group of dedicated students from Novi High School work hard to keep our local Interact Club alive! You can help them make a difference in their service projects just by going out for a yummy treat this weekend! 

The Novi High School Interact Club will serve Stuart's ice cream and yogurt to customers Saturday, Sept. 17 from 1-9 p.m.!  Mike and Elaine Gabriel, owners of at 10 Mile and Meadowbrook roads, will share 50 percent of the proceeds from the Interact club's serving efforts.

Here is what you will be supporting: "Books For Children Book Drive", "Purple Pinkie Polio Project", "Ecuadorian  Water Project" and "River Day Clean-up!" 

In addition, every year Novi Interact students complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts the Interact students develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of the following:

• Developing leadership skills and personal integrity
• Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others
• Understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work
• Advancing international understanding and goodwill

We hope to see you out this weekend getting some delicious ice cream at Stuart's!
